Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a TPO roof over project in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The project involved installing a new, energy-efficient roofing system over an existing flat roof. This upgrade provides enhanced protection against the elements and extends the lifespan of the roof. We focused on delivering a seamless and durable solution tailored to withstand the unique climate challenges of Tarpon Springs.
Work Performed
The project began with the installation of 1-inch foam board insulation, secured with adhesive and plates/screws, to improve energy efficiency. Next, we installed a new GAF EverGuard TPO 60mil rubber roofing system, fastening it with metal plates and screws according to code. The seams were heat-welded to create a unified, watertight roofing system. To complete the project, new 6" seamless gutters were installed along the back of the building along with approximately 128 feet of coping to cap the TPO into the new roof system.
