Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roofing project in Tarpon Springs, Florida, involving both a new standing seam metal roof and a flat roof replacement. The existing roof was removed, and the decking was prepared to meet current building codes before the new roofing systems were installed. This project showcases our expertise in handling complex roofing needs with precision and quality craftsmanship, enhancing the home's protection and aesthetic appeal.
Work Performed
The scope of work included a complete tear-off of the existing roof down to the wood decking, followed by replacing any damaged wood and re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails. We installed a high-temperature peel-and-stick underlayment specifically designed for metal roofs. The metal roofing system is a Metal Systems STRIATED PANEL SYSTEM featuring 24-gauge, 16" wide panels with 1" seams and KYNAR paint. The flat roof section was addressed by installing tapered boards to create proper pitch, followed by a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system after peel and stick base sheet was installed.
