Team Armored Roofing recently completed a standing seam aluminum roof installation for a home in beautiful Bellair Beach, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking, revealing some areas needing repair. We replaced the old roof with a durable and energy-efficient striated aluminum panel system, providing long-lasting protection and enhanced curb appeal.
Work Performed
Our crew began by removing the existing roofing materials and replacing approximately 10 sheets of plywood where necessary, securing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code. Next, we installed a high-temperature peel-and-stick underlayment specifically designed for aluminum roofs. We then installed all new drip edge, valley metal, pipe covers, vents, zee trim, and rake metal, followed by a new striated aluminum standing seam roof system featuring 16" wide panels with 1.75” seams of .032 aluminum, finished with a KYNAR premium paint. Two new solar attic fans were installed to improve ventilation.
