Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a TPO roof replacement in Clearwater, Florida. This project involved a complete removal of the old roofing system and the installation of a brand new, durable TPO roof to provide long-lasting protection. The new roof ensures the building is well-protected from the elements and meets all current building codes. Prior to commencing work, we coordinated the schedule with GC Dan Roth to ensure a smooth and efficient project execution.
Work Performed
This TPO roof replacement involved several key steps. First, we installed new tapered boards or 1.5 to 2-inch foam board, depending on what was needed to meet the slope requirements, secured with 3-inch plates and screws every 16 inches. Next, we installed a new 60 mil GAF TPO rubber roofing system, fastening it with metal plates and screws on all seams. All seams were meticulously heat-welded to create a single, solid, waterproof unit. Finally, we installed new flashing where needed, wrapped all edges over a new drip edge, and secured a new turn bar around the perimeter with screws and rubber washers every 6 inches.
