Team Armored Roofing recently completed a TPO roof replacement project on Building D in Clearwater, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking. The project included addressing any damaged wood and installing a brand new, durable roofing system to protect the building from the elements. Our team ensured every step met code and provided lasting protection.
Work Performed
The TPO roof replacement involved several key steps. First, we removed the existing roof down to the wood decking, replacing approximately 80 sheets of 1/2" plywood where necessary to bring the structure up to current code. We then installed new tapered boards to achieve proper drainage, securing them with 3" plates and screws every 16 inches. Finally, we installed a new 60 mil GAF TPO rubber roofing system, heat-welding all seams for a watertight seal, and installed new TPO vents, boot caps, and flashing, ensuring a robust and long-lasting roof.
