Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing completed a TPO roof replacement project in Clearwater, Florida. The existing TPO roof and underlying ISO board were removed down to the original tapered system. We addressed some existing issues such as rotten plywood, and completed a full TPO replacement with updated components and features to extend the life of the roof.
Work Performed
The project began with the removal of the existing TPO roof and 1" ISO board. New 1" ISO board was installed over the existing taper system, secured with 3" plates and screws every 16 inches to meet code requirements. A new 60 mil GAF TPO rubber roofing system was then installed, with metal plates and screws on all seams, heat-welded to create a solid, waterproof unit. Finally, new TPO vents and rubber boot caps were installed, with all edges wrapped over a new drip edge secured with a turn bar anchored with screws and rubber washers every 6 inches.
