Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full TPO roofing system replacement on a building in Clearwater, Florida. The project involved removing the existing aged TPO roof and addressing underlying issues to ensure a long-lasting, watertight solution. Our team meticulously installed a brand new GAF TPO roofing system, enhanced with upgraded features for optimal performance and longevity. This project exemplifies our commitment to providing superior flat roofing solutions in the Tampa Bay area.
Work Performed
The project began with the removal of the existing TPO roof and the underlying 1" ISO board, down to the existing quarter-inch tapered system. We then installed a new 1" ISO board over the existing taper system, securing it with 3" plates and screws every 16 inches to meet code requirements. A new 60 mil GAF TPO rubber roofing system was installed, utilizing metal plates and screws on all seams, followed by heat welding to create a monolithic, waterproof membrane. To complete the project we installed TPO vents, rubber boot caps, flashing as needed, expansion foam in AC vent covers and wrapped all edges over a new drip edge, secured with a turn bar anchored every 6 inches.
