Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full TPO roof replacement on building 24 in Clearwater, Florida. The existing tar and gravel roof with underlying foam board was removed to expose the plywood decking. The project included addressing wood rot, upgrading insulation, and installing a new, durable TPO roofing system. This Clearwater project ensures long-lasting protection and energy efficiency for the building.
Work Performed
The scope of work began with removing the gravel and old roofing materials. Rotten plywood was replaced, and the remaining decking was re-nailed. We installed 2" of foam board followed by tapered insulation. A GAF EverGuard TPO 60mil roofing system was then installed, glued, and heat-welded with TPO boots around A/C legs to ensure a seamless and watertight seal. Finally, new drip edge and gutter guards were installed.
