Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a flat roof replacement in Clearwater, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood deck, revealing some areas of rot that required replacement. We then installed a brand new, durable roofing system designed for long-lasting protection against the Florida elements. This project also included a small tile roof tie-in and shingle roof tie-in.
Work Performed
Our team started by carefully removing the old flat roof and tile roof down to the wood decking. We replaced any rotten wood and re-nailed the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. For the flat roof portion, we installed a peel and stick base sheet followed by stripping around the perimeter and a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system. The tile roof tie-in included new polyglass peel and stick underlayment. The shingle roof tie-in included a peel and stick underlayment.
