Team Armored Roofing recently completed a flat roof replacement in Clearwater, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking to prepare for a full system replacement. This project involved installing a new, durable flat roof to protect the home from the elements and improve its overall value. We also inspected and certified the home's shingle roof.
Work Performed
Our team began by removing the existing flat roofing material and inspecting the wood decking for any signs of rot. Any damaged wood was replaced before re-nailing the entire deck with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. We then installed a peel-and-stick base sheet, followed by stripping around the perimeter for enhanced protection. The new roof was completed with a CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system, along with a new drip edge, vents, and lead pipe covers as needed. We also installed 96 square feet of aluminum soffit and 40 feet of aluminum fascia, completing the project with a crisp, clean look and enhanced protection against water intrusion.
