Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a flat roof replacement project in Clearwater, Florida. The existing roof had a pre-existing peel and stick flat that needed to be addressed. Our team provided a comprehensive solution that included removing a portion of the existing roof and installing a new, durable, and weather-resistant flat roofing system for the homeowner.
Work Performed
The scope of work began with removing approximately 6 inches of the existing roof down to the wood deck around the perimeter. We then installed a peel and stick base sheet over the remaining flat roof surface. Stripping was added around the perimeter for extra protection, along with a new drip edge, vents, and lead pipe covers as needed. Finally, a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system was expertly installed, utilizing approximately 5 squares of material and 1 square of driftwood shingles. The project also included custom bent 20-inch valley flashing through the tie-in between the metal flat and modified flat roofs, sealed with certified metal roofing sealant and fastened with washered fasteners. Any necessary wood replacement was completed utilizing plywood and lumber as needed, based on industry-standard pricing.
