Team Armored Roofing recently completed a TPO flat roof replacement project in Venice, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking, which was then prepared for the new system. The project involved installing a new, durable, and energy-efficient roofing solution tailored to withstand the Florida climate. Our team ensured quality and longevity with meticulous attention to detail.
Work Performed
The scope of work included a complete tear-off of the existing roof, followed by a thorough inspection and replacement of any rotten or damaged wood decking, which was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails. We installed tapered boards to meet code requirements. A 60 mil GAF TPO rubber roofing system was then installed using metal plates and screws on all seams, followed by heat-welding to create a seamless, waterproof barrier. New TPO vents, rubber boot caps, and flashing were installed as needed, with edges wrapped over new drip edge and a turn bar anchored with rubber-washered screws around the perimeter.
