Team Armored Roofing recently completed a TPO roof over project in Venice, Florida. The existing flat roof required a complete overhaul to improve its performance and longevity. This project involved installing a brand new GAF TPO roofing system, providing a durable and energy-efficient solution for the homeowner. The result is a robust, watertight roof designed to withstand the Florida elements.
Work Performed
The project began with the installation of 1-2" of foam board insulation over the existing roof decking, secured with adhesive and plates and screws. Next, we installed a GAF TPO 60mil rubber roofing system, fastening it with proper metal plates and screws, ensuring adherence to local building codes. The seams of the TPO membrane were meticulously heat welded together to create a single, unified roofing system. Finally, the perimeter was secured with a turn bar and screws featuring rubber washers for a weathertight seal.
