Team Armored Roofing recently completed a TPO roof-over project in Venice, Florida. This particular project involved installing a new TPO roofing system over an existing flat roof, which included a sunroom area. Special care was taken to ensure the sunroom's integrity during the installation process. The project exemplifies our commitment to providing durable and reliable roofing solutions throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Work Performed
The scope of work for this project included installing 1-2" of foam board insulation over the existing roof decking. On the sunroom portion, the insulation boards were secured using adhesive only, avoiding the use of screws to prevent damage. Next, we installed a new 60mil TPO rubber roofing system, securing it with metal plates and screws per code. The TPO seams were heat welded to create a unified, waterproof roofing system, and the perimeter was secured with a term bar and screws with rubber washers. We also cleaned all gutters and used magnets to clear the yard and beds of any debris.
