Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a project in Venice, Florida, addressing issues with an existing aluminum pitch pan roof and upgrading to a TPO system. The original pitch pans were experiencing damage, leading to potential leaks. Our team provided a comprehensive solution, repairing the damaged areas and installing a durable TPO roof over the existing structure to ensure long-lasting protection.
Work Performed
Our work began with removing the deteriorated pitch pan roofing material. We then installed new 3" seam aluminum pitch pan panels over the main roof and lanai/sunroom, utilizing proper sealant and screws. New flashing was also installed over the pitch pans where needed, such as at tie-ins with the carport and lanai. As for the TPO roof over, we secured foam inserts into the existing pitch pans with adhesive, and installed new TPO over the existing roof and lanai/sunroom. The TPO was secured with screws at the seams and heat-welded to create a unified, waterproof membrane. Finally, we installed a new term bar at the perimeter and secured it with screws and rubber washers.
