Team Armored Roofing recently completed a skylight replacement project in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The existing skylight was old and leaking, causing damage to the surrounding roofing material. Our team carefully removed the old skylight and installed a brand new, energy-efficient model. This project ensures the homeowner will no longer experience leaks and has improved natural light in their home.
Work Performed
Our skilled roofing technicians began by removing the old skylight and the adjacent roofing materials. The old curb was also removed to ensure a proper fit for the new skylight. We then installed a new self-flashing skylight featuring flat glass with built-in UV protection and shatter-resistant properties. New sealant was applied around the perimeter for a watertight seal, and the surrounding roofing material was meticulously reinstalled. A 2x4 was also replaced as part of the repair. We also included one sheet of plywood with the repair, as needed.
