Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roof replacement project in Palm Harbor, Florida, involving both shingle and flat roofing systems. The existing roofs were showing their age, prompting the homeowner to seek a durable and reliable replacement. We provided a complete tear-off, followed by meticulous deck preparation and installation of premium roofing materials for long-lasting protection.
Work Performed
The project involved removing the existing shingle and flat roofing down to the wood decking. We replaced five sheets of rotten plywood before re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails. A new peel-and-stick underlayment was installed throughout the shingle roof as a waterproof barrier, followed by Timberline Lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles. We also replaced the flat roof using a CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system. Upgrades included omni roll cobra ridge vents, new valley metal, and a new 10” galvanized roof vent for the kitchen hood.
