Team Armored Roofing recently completed a project in Tarpon Springs involving both a skylight replacement and roof repair. The existing skylight was aging and starting to show wear, and there was a minor leak developing on the back side of the building. Our team addressed both issues, providing a comprehensive solution for the homeowner. The result is a more secure and energy-efficient roof.
Work Performed
The skylight replacement involved removing the old skylight and surrounding roofing material. We carefully removed the old curb and installed a new, self-flashing 2x4 skylight featuring a flat glass finish with built-in UV protection and shatter-resistant properties. New sealant was applied around the skylight's perimeter before reinstalling the roofing material for a watertight seal. Additionally, loose roofing tabs on the back of the building were sealed with certified roofing cement, addressing exposed nails and preventing further leaks.
