Team Armored Roofing recently completed a roof replacement project in St. Petersburg, Florida, upgrading the home with a durable and stylish standing seam metal roofing system. The original roof was removed down to the wood decking, allowing our team to address any underlying issues. The new roof provides enhanced protection against the elements and adds significant curb appeal to the property.
Work Performed
Our crew began by removing the existing roof and replacing any damaged or rotten wood, ensuring a solid foundation. The decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code requirements. Next, we installed a high-temperature Polyglass peel-and-stick underlayment, followed by all necessary components, including drip edge, valley metal, pipe covers, vents, zee trim, and rake metal. The new standing seam metal roofing system is a lock panel system with 24-gauge, 16" wide striated panels in Dark Bronze with 1.5” seams, covering 28 squares with 1 square of cap material. We also installed additional vents, replaced all boots and vents, and step-sealed all penetrations. Additionally, the project included a TPO flat roof replacement. We removed existing roof down to wood deck and installed new TPO flat roof. 3sq.
