The project involved removing the old, worn roofing system and installing a brand-new, high-performance shingle roof. Our client chose the GAF Timberline HDZ shingles known for their durability and wind resistance. This complete roof overhaul ensures lasting protection and curb appeal for their home.
Work Performed
Our skilled roofing team started by carefully removing the existing shingles down to the wood deck. Any rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code requirements. We then installed peel and stick underlayment for a waterproof barrier, along with new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, and valley metal. Upgraded Omni roll cobra ridge vents were installed and additional vents added to properly vent the attic. Finally, all penetrations in the roof were step sealed for added protection.
