Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roofing project in St. Petersburg, Florida, involving both tile and flat roof replacement. The existing roof showed signs of wear and required a full replacement to ensure the home's structural integrity and protection from the elements. In addition to the roofing, the project included gutter installation, soffit repair, chimney work and skylight replacement, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the home.
Work Performed
The tile roof replacement involved a complete tear-off down to the wood decking. Any damaged wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed. We installed Polyglass peel and stick underlayment, followed by Westlake Barcelona 900 Florida blend tiles secured with tile bond. The flat roof received a similar treatment, including rotten wood replacement and Black Diamond peel and stick base sheet. A CertainTeed Flintastic GTA modified torch down roofing system was installed over a newly tapered system to ensure proper drainage. New 6" K-style seamless gutters were installed along the front of the house. We rebuilt a soffit overhang and installed a metal chimney box. The project also included a new VELUX skylight.
