Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full flat roof replacement project in Seminole, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood deck, and necessary repairs were made to address any rotten wood. The project culminated in the installation of a brand new, durable CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system, ensuring long-lasting protection for the home.
Work Performed
The flat roof replacement involved several critical steps. First, we carefully removed the old roofing material down to the wood decking and replaced three sheets of plywood. To ensure code compliance, the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails. We then installed a peel and stick base sheet, followed by stripping around the perimeter for enhanced protection. Finally, we installed the new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system, as well as a new drip edge and vents.
