Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a tile to shingle roof replacement project in Seminole, Florida. The existing tile roof was removed, and the underlying deck was inspected for any damage. We addressed necessary wood repairs and upgraded the roof with modern, durable materials to ensure long-lasting protection against the elements. The project also included a flat roof tie-in, ensuring a seamless and watertight integration.
Work Performed
The project involved removing the existing tile and preparing the wood deck, including replacing 67ft of plank decking and 20ft of 2x8 fascia, as well as 40ft of 1x2 trim. We installed new peel and stick underlayment for a waterproof barrier and new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, and valley metal. The homeowner selected Timberline Lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles, complemented by upgraded omni roll cobra ridge vents for optimal attic ventilation. The flat roof tie-in included L flashing and a new strip of modified roofing.
