Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement project in Port Richey, Florida, addressing both a flat roof and shingle mancerds. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking, which revealed some areas requiring repair. Our team expertly replaced the compromised decking, ensuring a solid foundation for the new roofing systems, and improved ventilation by installing two new bathroom vents.
Work Performed
The flat roof portion involved a complete TPO roof replacement, including re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails, installing new tapered boards with plates and screws, and installing a new 60 mil GAF TPO rubber roofing system. All seams were heat-welded for a watertight seal, new TPO vents were installed, and the perimeter was finished with a new turn bar anchored with screws and rubber washers. The shingle mancerds were replaced with new Timberline HDZ high wind rated shingles and included new peel and stick underlayment, new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, and valley metal.
