Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive shingle roof replacement for Victor Lampasona's home in Port Richey, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood deck, and any damaged or rotten wood was replaced to ensure a solid foundation. This project involved a two-level shingle roof replacement as well as repair on the third level. The customer was able to select either GAF HDZ shingles or Owens Corning shingles, each providing lifetime protection.
Work Performed
Our team meticulously removed the old shingles down to the wood decking on both the second and third levels of the home. We replaced any compromised wood and re-nailed the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code requirements. A new peel and stick underlayment was installed across the entire roof surface, creating a waterproof barrier. To complete the installation, we installed new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, valley metal, and Timberline Lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles, as well as upgraded omni roll cobra ridge vents, adding more to ensure adequate ventilation. Additionally, we addressed a specific roof repair need by adding new flashing and counterflashing where the roof meets the third level on both sides.
