Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a flat roof replacement project in Port Richey, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking. We then replaced any rotten wood and ensured the decking was properly re-nailed to meet current code standards. The new roof consists of a durable and weather-resistant GAF Slate Gray peel and stick roofing system.
Work Performed
The scope of work included removing the old roof entirely and inspecting the wood decking for any damage. We replaced compromised sections of wood with new plywood as needed, and re-nailed the existing decking with 8D ring shank nails. A peel and stick base sheet was installed, along with stripping around the perimeter for extra protection. Finally, we installed the GAF Slate Gray peel n stick roofing system and tied it into the existing shingles on the house with GAF Driftwood shingles, ensuring a seamless transition. A new drip edge, vents and lead pipe covers were also installed as needed. The lead boot on the power pole was sealed and secured with a pipe clamp.
