Team Armored Roofing recently completed a shingle and flat roof replacement project in New Port Richey, Florida. The project involved removing the existing shingle and flat roofing systems due to age and wear. The homeowner chose us to upgrade to a more durable and reliable roofing solution for their New Port Richey home, ensuring long-term protection against the Florida elements. Work Performed
The shingle roof portion of the project involved a complete tear-off down to the wood deck, followed by re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code. We installed peel and stick underlayment for added insurance discounts and leak protection, new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, and flashing. New Timberline HDZ high wind rated shingles were installed along with upgraded Omni cobra ridge vents for proper attic ventilation. On the flat roof portion, we removed the existing material, installed a peel and stick base sheet with perimeter stripping, and completed the project with a CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system.
