The front section of the home had an aging flat roof requiring complete replacement, while the tie-in with the shingle roof needed attention due to damaged shingles and flashing. This project ensured the homeowner had a secure, weather-resistant roof system.
Work Performed
Our team removed the existing flat roof down to the wood deck, replacing any rotten wood and re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code. A peel and stick base sheet was installed followed by stripping around the perimeter for added protection. New drip edge and vents were installed as needed, and the project was completed with a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system. We also addressed the shingle roof tie-in by removing damaged shingles and installing new flashing and shingles, including a code-compliant lead boot replacement on the flat roof transition.
