Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a TPO flat roofing project in Dunedin, Florida. The project involved installing a new TPO roofing system over an existing flat roof. The goal was to provide a durable, long-lasting, and energy-efficient roofing solution for the client's property in Dunedin.
Work Performed
The project began with installing tapered boards over the existing roof to improve drainage. These boards were secured with 3-inch plates and screws every 16 inches. We removed and saved 300 feet of existing coping. A new 60 mil GAF TPO rubber roofing system was then installed with metal plates and screws on all seams. The TPO was extended up and over the parapet walls to completely seal the roof. All seams were heat-welded to create a single, solid unit. New TPO vents, rubber boot caps, and flashing were installed as needed. The edges were wrapped over a new drip edge, and a new turn bar was installed around the perimeter, anchored every 6 inches. Finally, the coping was reinstalled with washered fasteners every 12 inches across the 133 squares.
