Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roofing project in Clearwater, Florida, involving both a complete roof replacement and the temporary removal and reinstallation of a solar panel system. The project addressed the need for a new roof while ensuring the homeowner maintained their solar energy capabilities. The Clearwater home received a brand new shingle roof, coupled with professional solar panel services.
Work Performed
The project began with the careful removal of approximately 35 solar panels. The old shingle roof was removed down to the wood deck. After removing the shingles we replaced rotten wood, re-nailed the decking with 8D ring shank nails, and installed new peel-and-stick underlayment for enhanced weather protection and potential insurance discounts. New lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing at tie-ins, and valley metal were installed, topped with Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high-wind rated shingles and upgraded cobra ridge vents for optimal attic ventilation. Solar Force Utilities, a licensed solar company, reinstalled the panels after the roofing work was completed.
