Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement project in Clearwater, Florida. This project involved removing the existing worn shingle roof and replacing it with a brand new, durable, and visually appealing roofing system. The homeowner now benefits from a roof built to withstand Florida's unique weather conditions and enhance their home's value. The project encompassed approximately 16 squares plus ridge cap.
Work Performed
The scope of work included removing the existing shingles down to the wood deck. Any rotten wood was replaced with up to 2 sheets of plywood. The decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. New peel and stick underlayment was installed to provide maximum protection and qualify the homeowner for potential insurance discounts. We installed new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing at all tie-ins, and new valley metal before installing new Timberline HDZ lifetime shingles. An upgraded cobra ridge vent system was installed, with additional vents added to optimize attic ventilation. All penetrations were step sealed for added protection.
