Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement project in Clearwater, Florida, involving both a shingle and flat roofing system. The existing roof was showing its age, requiring a complete tear-off and replacement of damaged decking. We installed a brand new, durable roofing system designed to withstand Florida's harsh weather conditions, providing the homeowner with long-lasting protection and peace of mind.
Work Performed
This project included a complete shingle roof replacement of approximately 19 squares, followed by the installation of one square of ridge cap. The shingle roof work included removing the old shingles down to the wood deck, replacing any rotten wood, and re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails. We also installed new peel and stick underlayment, lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing, valley metal, and Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles, along with an upgraded cobra ridge vent. A 4-square flat roof section was also replaced, involving stripping down to the wood deck, replacing rotted wood, re-nailing the deck, installing peel and stick base sheet with stripping around the perimeter, and completing the installation with a CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system.
