We replaced any rotten wood, re-nailed the decking with 8D ring shank nails, and installed a peel and stick underlayment for enhanced protection and potential insurance discounts. New lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing, and valley metal were installed, followed by Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles and upgraded OMNI ridge vents. The flat roof replacement included removing the existing roof down to the wood deck, replacing any rotten wood, re-nailing the decking, installing a peel and stick base sheet, and a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system.
