Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive shingle roof replacement in St. Petersburg, Florida. The project involved removing the old, worn shingles and installing a completely new roofing system for enhanced protection and curb appeal. This project also included a small section of flat roof replacement, ensuring all roofing surfaces were brought up to modern standards. The homeowner now benefits from a durable, long-lasting roof designed to withstand Florida's weather conditions.
Work Performed
Our team began by carefully removing the existing shingles down to the wood deck, replacing five sheets of plywood where wood rot was discovered. We then re-nailed the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. A new peel and stick underlayment was installed across the entire roof for superior waterproofing and potential insurance discounts. The project culminated with the installation of Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles, along with upgraded cobra ridge vents to optimize attic ventilation. A CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system was also installed on the flat roof portion.
