Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement in St. Petersburg, Florida, addressing both a shingle and a flat roof section. The existing roofs were removed entirely, and any damaged wood decking was replaced to ensure a solid foundation. Work Performed
For the shingle portion, we removed the old shingles and replaced any rotten wood before re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails. A new peel-and-stick underlayment was installed for enhanced protection and potential insurance discounts. New lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing, and valley metal were installed, followed by Timberline HDZ shingles with a high wind rating. The flat roof section received a similar treatment, with the old roof removed, wood replaced, and a CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system installed.
