Team Armored Roofing recently completed a TPO flat roof repair project in Palm Harbor, Florida, addressing several key issues to ensure the building's long-term protection. The roof was experiencing leaks due to a soft spot and perimeter failures, as well as problems around the AC unit. Our team provided targeted repairs to restore the roof's integrity and prevent further damage.
Work Performed
Our work began with repairing a soft spot in the TPO roofing system. We carefully cut out the damaged TPO section near the oil drain pan, replaced the rotted wood caused by water intrusion, and installed new insulation foam. A new TPO patch was then expertly heat-welded into the existing roof, ensuring a seamless and watertight seal. The perimeter of the roof was thoroughly cleaned and treated with TPO cleaner before installing a 24-inch TPO strip around the entire edge, wrapping it over the side and securing it with a termination bar to prevent future peeling and leaks. Finally, we removed the cap of the AC unit ductwork, patched the hole and any other necessary repairs underneath, resealed the box, and reinstalled the cap.
