Work Performed
The shingle roof replacement involved removing the existing shingles down to the wood deck, replacing five sheets of plywood, and re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails. We installed a peel and stick underlayment for enhanced waterproofing, along with new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, and valley metal. The homeowner selected Timberline Lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles in their color of choice, topped with upgraded Omni roll cobra ridge vents to optimize attic ventilation. The flat roof section had its existing roof removed, any rotten wood was replaced, and a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system was installed.
