Team Armored Roofing recently completed a flat roof replacement project in Palm Harbor, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking due to age and wear. A new, durable CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system was installed, ensuring long-lasting protection for the home. The project also included addressing some shingle repair and lead boot flashing issues.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete tear-off of the existing flat roof. Any rotten wood decking was replaced and re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet code. A peel and stick base sheet was installed, followed by stripping around the perimeter for added protection. We installed a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system. A small shingle repair tie-in required shingle replacement tied to the flat roof. We replaced a damaged lead boot and step sealed with added venting. As part of our comprehensive service, we also replaced screws in a satellite dish on the roof.
