Team Armored Roofing recently completed a Plideck roof replacement project in Palm Harbor, Florida. The existing roof required a full replacement to ensure long-term protection and structural integrity. Our team addressed both the roofing system and the underlying decking to deliver a superior, watertight solution for the homeowner in Palm Harbor.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete removal of the old roofing material and evaluation of the existing decking. To facilitate proper Plideck installation, we resheeted the roof with approximately 16 sheets of 1/2" plywood over the original plank deck. We installed proper flashing and sealant at all seams and tie-ins, followed by a grate secured with 12 nails per square foot. The Plideck system was then installed in two layers – the first layer followed by a knockdown layer in preparation for the final color sealer, chosen by the homeowner. We also carefully removed and reinstalled 30 feet of existing railing, securing it with new fasteners into the newly installed Plideck roofing system. It was approximately a 5 square job.
