Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive Pli-Dek flat roof system installation in Palm Harbor, Florida. The project involved removing the existing roof and addressing underlying wood rot before installing a brand new, durable flat roofing solution. Our team ensured proper flashing and sealing for a watertight and long-lasting result, tailored to the specific needs of the home.
Work Performed
The scope of work included a full Pli-Dek system installation. First, we removed the old roof, including rotted decking, and replaced it with 40 sheets of new plywood where needed. Rafter work was performed to build up the pitch with additional Pli-Dek base layers for proper drainage. We installed new decking, proper flashing, and sealant at all seams and tie-ins. The Pli-Dek system was then installed, beginning with the grate secured with 12 nails per square foot, followed by the first Pli-Dek layer, preparation for the second knock-down layer, and a final color sealer chosen by the homeowner.
