Team Armored Roofing recently completed a flat roof replacement project in Palm Harbor, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood deck, revealing some areas of rotten wood that required replacement. The project involved installing a brand new, durable flat roofing system designed for long-lasting performance and protection against the Florida elements. Work Performed
Our crew began by removing the old roofing material and replacing compromised wood decking. We re-nailed the remaining decking with 8D ring shank nails for code compliance before installing a peel and stick base sheet. Stripping was added around the perimeter for enhanced protection. After cleaning the decking of debris, we installed tapered boards with 3-inch plates and proper screws every 16 inches to create a pitch for better water runoff and then the new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system was installed.
