Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full shingle roof replacement project in New Port Richey, Florida. The existing roof was removed and replaced with a brand new, high-performance roofing system. This project involved careful attention to detail, ensuring the home is protected from the elements for years to come. The homeowners selected a beautiful shingle color to enhance their home's curb appeal.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete tear-off of the old shingles down to the wood decking. Any rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails for code compliance. We installed peel-and-stick underlayment in valleys and along the perimeter, followed by synthetic underlayment across the entire roof. New lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing, and valley metal were installed. Finally, Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high-wind rated shingles were installed, capped off with upgraded Omni ridge vents for optimal attic ventilation. We also added vents as needed to achieve proper attic ventilation, and step sealed all roof penetrations.
