Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full shingle roof replacement for a homeowner in New Port Richey, Florida. The existing roof was showing its age, so we provided a complete tear-off and replacement. The project included addressing some rotten wood decking to ensure a solid foundation before installing the new roofing system. The homeowners now have a beautiful and durable new roof providing years of protection.
Work Performed
Our team removed the existing shingles down to the wood deck, replacing any damaged or rotten wood with new plywood decking. We then re-nailed the existing decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code requirements. A new peel and stick underlayment was installed across the entire roof surface. Finally, we installed new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing, and new Timberline GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles, along with an upgraded Omni ridge vent for optimal attic ventilation.
