Team Armored Roofing completed a crucial flat roof tie-in repair project in Maitland, Florida, addressing significant water intrusion issues. The existing roof exhibited cupping and sinking shingles, allowing water to seep behind the shingles and the flat roof membrane. Our team implemented a comprehensive solution to resolve these problems and protect the property from further damage.
Work Performed
The project began with the careful removal of shingles at the flat roof tie-in point, followed by the removal of a high section of the flat roof, which included high foam. We then meticulously leveled the roof surface with new foam to ensure proper drainage and a seamless transition. To create a watertight seal, we installed peel and stick underlayment and a new modified weathered wood torch down membrane along the tie-in. Finally, we installed charcoal shingles to match the existing roof, completing the 45-foot long repair.
