Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roofing project in Hudson, Florida, involving both shingle and flat roof replacements, along with some additional repairs. The existing roofs were showing their age and in need of replacement to protect the home from the elements. We addressed all roofing areas, including the main house and a separate boathouse, ensuring a cohesive and durable roofing solution.
Work Performed
For the shingle roof replacement on the main house and boathouse, we started with a complete tear-off down to the wood deck, followed by wood replacement where necessary and re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails. We then installed a peel-and-stick underlayment for enhanced waterproofing and insurance discounts. New lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, and valley metal were installed, followed by Timberline Lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles, Omni roll cobra ridge vents and step sealing. The two flat roof areas received a similar treatment, including peel-and-stick base sheets and a CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system. Finally, 175 linear feet of 1x6 whitewood fascia was removed and replaced.
