The project involved removing an existing skylight and seamlessly integrating the area back into the existing roof. Work Performed
The project began with carefully removing the existing skylight and the surrounding shingles to create a clean work area. Next, half a sheet of plywood was installed to cover the skylight opening, providing a solid base. We then applied a new peel-and-stick underlayment for enhanced waterproofing before installing new shingles that perfectly matched the existing roof. This process effectively sealed the opening and blended it seamlessly into the surrounding roof, addressing the client's need to cover the skylight without interior work.
