Team Armored Roofing recently completed a low slope roof replacement project in Dunedin, Florida. The project involved removing the existing failing roof down to the wood deck, addressing some rotten wood issues, and installing a new, durable roofing system. We also closed in an existing skylight on the east side of the home and replaced the home's old gutters.
Work Performed
The scope of work included a complete tear-off of the existing low slope roofing system. We replaced any rotten wood, re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet Florida building codes. A peel and stick base sheet was installed, along with stripping around the perimeter for extra protection. The project was completed with a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system, covering 28 squares. A skylight was also closed in, reframed, and redecked with new material.
