Team Armored Roofing recently completed a tile roof replacement project in Clearwater, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking, which allowed us to inspect for any damage. After addressing rotten wood and ensuring a solid base, we installed a brand new tile roof, selected by the homeowner to perfectly complement their home's aesthetic. This Clearwater home now boasts a beautiful and durable tile roof, ready to withstand the Florida elements.
Work Performed
Our team began by carefully removing the existing roof and re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. We replaced damaged wood, utilizing 5 sheets of plywood as part of our standard roof replacement package. Next, we installed Polyglass peel-and-stick underlayment, ensuring a watertight barrier. Finally, we installed the new tile roof, securing it with tile bond due to the roof's pitch of 6/12 or less. We also replaced 250 feet of hip and ridge cap and 50 feet of rake cap to complete the project.
