Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement in Clearwater, Florida, converting the existing roof to a durable and energy-efficient standing seam metal system. This project involved removing the old roofing material, addressing any underlying wood damage, and installing a brand-new Metal Systems striated panel system. The finished product provides a long-lasting, weather-resistant solution for the homeowner.
Work Performed
Our crew began by tearing off the old roof down to the wood decking. Any rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. We then installed a high-temperature peel-and-stick underlayment, followed by new drip edge, valley metal, pipe covers, vents, zee trim, and rake metal. Finally, the Metal Systems standing seam metal roofing system was installed, featuring 24-gauge, 16" wide Galvalume panels with 1" seams. The project also included the reinstallation of approximately 24 existing solar panels.
