Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roofing project in Clearwater, Florida, involving the replacement of the existing roof on a house, shed, and boat house with a durable and aesthetically pleasing standing seam metal roofing system. This project required a full tear-off and careful attention to detail to ensure a long-lasting and weather-resistant roof for years to come. The customer was extremely pleased with the finished product and the curb appeal it added to their Clearwater property.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete removal of the existing roofing material down to the wood decking. Any damaged or rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code. A new Polyglass high-temp peel and stick underlayment was installed to provide a waterproof barrier before the installation of the new striated 1.75” seam lock panel system with 24 gauge, 16" wide Charcoal Grey metal panels. New drip edge, valley metal, pipe covers, vents, Z bar trim, rake metal, and custom chimney flashing were also installed. The project included the installation of three new double-pan UV reflected impact-rated skylights with new black metal flashing.
